Mini Festival - RULES and Joining Instructions
Location: Derby RFC
Directions.
1.
Start time
for matches 10 am
2.
Registration
from 9 am at the Marquee for your age group.
3.
Car parking
on site – charge £2 per car and programmes are free.
4.
Photography
– all persons taking photographs must report to the marquees and sign in and
receive an identification tag.
5.
Referees
from NLD Referees Society will officiate at all matches.
6.
Touch Judges
– each team will supply one touch judge for each of their matches.
7.
Food and
drink available for purchase on site.
8.
Registration
Cards – All Cards MUST be brought as checks of teams involved will take
place.
9.
DEphoto will
be on site taking action photos for purchase.
10.
Team size of
9 – squad size of up to 15 players.
11.
Briefing for
team managers/coaches will be at 9.40 am at the Marquee
12.
There is one
pitch manager for each age group.
13.
Two Physios
will be on site all day at the pitch sides.
14.
Match
times will be as stated in the schedule:-Under
10’s – (5 Teams) Pool matches are 7 ½ minutes each way with one minute for
half time and to change ends
15.
Points will
be awarded as follows in the matches:-
a.
4 points
for a win
b.
2 points for
a draw
c.
0 points for
a loss
d.
1 point for
a losing side with one try difference from the winner.
e.
1 point for
scoring 4 tries – winning and losing team.
16.
Positions decided by:-
a.
Total points
in 16 (above)
b.
If equal
points then tries for – most tries scored go through
c.
If still
equal then least tries scored against go through
d.
If still
equal, then the number of bonus points – the team with the most go through
e.
If still
equal, the highest number of tries scored in an individual match
f.
If still
equal, the lowest number of tries conceded in the match from 6)
g.
If still
equal, the lowest number of tries conceded in an individual match
h.
If still
equal, the highest number of tries conceded in the match from 8)
i.
If still equal then the team who has travelled
the furthest geographically will go through
17.
Pitch
managers will resolve all issues in discussion with the event organisers as
required. They have the full support of the NLD Rugby Development
Partnership.

Matches stop
if try count exceeds 6
